Multitasking

What podcasts are you listening to?

I’m not real good at multitasking so I have none on right now as I answer this prompt.

I usually listen to books, but I have two podcast I listen to on a sporadic basis.

This American Life

This weeks episode is Shalom Auslander goes on vacation with his family, and suspects the beloved, chatty old man in the room next door is an imposter—and sets out to prove it. This and other stories about the pitfalls of making snap judgments about others.View details

Ira Glass is a hero of mine.

This American Life is a critically-acclaimed themed weekly public radio show. Host Ira Glass manages its unique format that combines journalism, fiction, humor, and intellectual experimentation. This American Life is broadcast on more than 500 public stations to about 2.1 million listeners each week.

Und ich kann das nicht vergessen.

I listen to various German podcasts. Which brings me back to the title of this post. The German podcast takes so much concentration, which is OK. That’s how I end up speaking German with a dog as I run.

The latest episode talked about unemployment in Germany.

Listened to This American Life for a few years, back in the days when I was still driving people to and from schools. The first episode to pop to mind is about the Japanese phone booth.

I have not listened for a while, just started Again and I have memories of particular episodes.

My first episode I ever listened to was the Jenny Kam, and that had to be 25 years ago.

That subject I find fascinating. I love little stories about Phone booths.

I also do like stories about Japan, how their culture is so different than ours in endearing. I recently read one about a 711 worker. Those stores are awesome in Japan.

I would love to hear you opinion as well

I’m Mark

His friends observe Mark seems wired a little differently. Perhaps it’s more likely that noticing little things often missed by others is a relic of a quieter, simpler time. He has a way with words, which he refuses to let be hindered by sub-par typing skills. People have great stories to tell if you sit and listen.

A belief dear to Mark is that there is certain beauty in the world. You simply have to look for it.
