Soccer Weekend and a nod to Woman’s Football

I hate to even title this. Today myself and my wife and 22000 others watched the Portland Thorns secure a third seed in the upcoming playoffs. The crowd size was the same as a Portland Timbers playoff game the previous night, We went to both. It was quite the soccer weekend.

I was especially moved at the Thorns game. It feels like community. We love the Timbers but our owner is a scandalous Jack ass of sorts. The Timbers won last night in an epic overtime fashion.

Still the Thorns game was authentic and heartfelt.

Then again a game played mid afternoon, on a perfect fall afternoon in war ravaged Portland is special. This team has been through injuries, of at least five of its top players and has endured. I am looking forward to a their playoff game next Sunday.

I would love to hear you opinion as well

His friends observe Mark seems wired a little differently. Perhaps it’s more likely that noticing little things often missed by others is a relic of a quieter, simpler time. He has a way with words, which he refuses to let be hindered by sub-par typing skills. People have great stories to tell if you sit and listen.

A belief dear to Mark is that there is certain beauty in the world. You simply have to look for it.
