Do lazy days make you feel rested or unproductive?
Why
I am as guilty as the next person, trying to put capitalistic measures on leisure time.
Why do we always have to produce something? I think that’s what this prompt hints at.
My wife asked me how was my day yesterday. I answered while while I was out riding my bike.
I said, I did my German, cleaned the garage, went to the hardware store, cut the grass, went for a 4 mile run, and started writing a short story.
Her Response
She said I need to be doing things that bring me joy. A nice mixture of creative, endorphins, and getting stuff done is plenty joyful for me. I do have the luxury of time.
Food Tastes Better
I’d like to do some exercise or some meaningful creative work before lunchtime. It always makes the food taste better.

When we’re in our 9-to-5 world and we get home exhausted and pop a beer. Is there much joy?
I don’t know.
But that’s me.
I know people who find joy in going to work, giving them a purpose in life. We are wired a little differently, learned a little differently, rewarded differently, and these differences make us unique.
Enjoy your uniqueness.

To Answer your Question
I am not really good at doing nothing. I don’t even know what nothing is. To me reading a book is doing something. Watching a TV show is doing nothing going for a run is doing something. For others, the equation is jumbled.
