What was the hardest personal goal you’ve set for yourself?

I’m not much of a goal setter. I try to point myself in a general direction.

For example, I told myself I wanted to shed weight by autumn. In the back of my mind, I wanted to get to 167 pounds. However, it was an adventure for my wife and I with very little pressure and it really wasn’t that hard.

When setting goals, they should be measurable, fairly difficult and obtainable.

I’m not a by the book person.

Qualify for The Boston Marathon

I had it in the back of my mind. I wanted to qualify for the Boston Marathon. In actual execution, I just had fun along the way and did a lot of running. in retrospect there were runs along the way where I had mini goals and objectives, but I can’t stress enough. I had fun along the way.

I qualified on a perfect day in DC and have since qualified a few more times.

You heard it here first

I wrote a book many years ago. I’ve only sent it in for publication once. I didn’t have this goal until five minutes ago, but I’m gonna clean that book up and send it in for publication again this fall I like writing in the fall.

    Good for you!

I would love to hear you opinion as well

His friends observe Mark seems wired a little differently. Perhaps it’s more likely that noticing little things often missed by others is a relic of a quieter, simpler time. He has a way with words, which he refuses to let be hindered by sub-par typing skills. People have great stories to tell if you sit and listen.

A belief dear to Mark is that there is certain beauty in the world. You simply have to look for it.
