I moved here 28 years ago and I remember my first glimpses and perspective on my first week here, I was looking for housing for my family.

  1. I had a co worker who told me not to go to places in North East. I later learned this lifelong resident had never been to NE Portland.
  2. I had our real estate agent only show us houses in the suburbs
  3. I got in an argument with the mayor of Beaverton because he was a closed minded lover of malls and cul-de-sacs.
  4. There was barely a Pearl District

We raised our kids here, and rather enjoy the city.

Even in a War Zone.

I would love to hear you opinion as well

His friends observe Mark seems wired a little differently. Perhaps it’s more likely that noticing little things often missed by others is a relic of a quieter, simpler time. He has a way with words, which he refuses to let be hindered by sub-par typing skills. People have great stories to tell if you sit and listen.

A belief dear to Mark is that there is certain beauty in the world. You simply have to look for it.
