What details of your life could you pay more attention to?

I am so inconsistent as to where I put my wallet and my keys.

When Traveling

When traveling my mantra is always passport, Wallet, Phone. I am neurotic about it.

Keys

It is quite amazing with the new cars. You can leave your keys in the car without realizing it. My guess is, I could walk around my neighborhood, and there’s gonna be one or two cars that our drive ready.

So no, I’m not gonna start stealing cars

I do have a consistent place for keys. So I am fairly better with keys.

Wallet

In Seattle this past weekend. We spent a half hour looking for my wallet . Two people looked in my daughters car and didn’t find it. Finally, I went in and found the wallet. It is a half hour, I’m not getting back. And who knows what ripple affect happened?

We did get in a massive traffic jam, a half hour later.

So yes, I need to be more self aware of these little things. I lost a precious sweatshirt, our son made for me and it haunts me to this day.

Ironically, or predictably, early this morning. My wife and I ordered a fob key for my wallet. I had one before, but the battery ran out.

Thank you for sharing this so honestly! 😊 It’s amazing how even the little, everyday details—like keeping track of our wallet or keys—can reveal so much about our habits and self-awareness. I really appreciate the humor and humility in your story, especially how you reflect on the small moments that ripple into bigger experiences, like the traffic jam or losing a cherished sweatshirt. Your mindfulness about these everyday challenges is both relatable and inspiring—it reminds all of us to pay attention, stay present, and find solutions, even for the little things that matter more than we realize.

I will take your advice and see if there are any cars ready for me to borrow from neighbours. I’ll go get some speed camera tickets, then park the car on the opposite side of the street.

This is a downright beautiful reply. We have nicknamed our car, Speed Racer.

This is my observation on my advice . Oh life of crime would be fun though.

Yes, I’m still dealing with Lost luggage from a week ago. From not pay attention to details.

And that wasn’t me, it was the airline, that I trusted

I checked all them there law books on my shelf. Taking a car with the key in it (what y’all might call joyriding) is not a crime.
    .
It’s called ‘hooliganism’ which is less than a misdemeanor.
    .
I hope Speed Racer’ is locked, after all this kidding around!

I would love to hear you opinion as well
