I can’t believe I’ve never listened to the miseducation of Lauryn Hill. It is a revolutionary great album. I always meant to get around to listening to it and I never did. That is until today.

The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill”, released on August 25, 1998, is the debut solo studio album by American rapper and singer-songwriter Lauryn Hill. The album was recorded after the Fugees, the group Hill was a part of, went on hiatus. Hill almost entirely wrote and produced the album herself..
Wow… never heard it, huh? On August 24th 1998 I was at the HMV trying to buy a copy, but I was a day early. I had to come back at midnight when they rolled the rack of new albums out.
I’m a bit of a music nut and by all means I’ve heard of the album and knew of it but never got around to it. It is not a genre I gravitate towards unless my son leaves music in the car.

When I walked into the store there was this goth looking girl at the counter, and I stared at her through my coke-bottle glasses. I got up the courage and asked her”Can I get a copy of the Misinformation of Lauryn Hill, please?” and she just rolled her eyes and said “It’s called ‘…the Miseducation…’ kid”

I replied “I guess I was misinformed, and laughed at my own joke. She did not.
That’s fantastic, I do have a wird one of when I bought an REM album on release day.
