What do you enjoy most about writing?

This is an interesting question as I can honestly say I don’t like the physical act of writing. I was, and still can be, a computer programmer by trade. So I typed all the time. Sitting at a keyboard and typing can be taxing. This is is especially true on a tablet.

There Are Stories To Be Told

I do love a good story and telling them is where I find joy. I am surprised how long it takes me to write a story. When writing a story it is like watching a movie. I do not use an outline rather tell the story as I go. Somebody probably an MFA would cringe hearing this. So I double down silly it my own way and enjoy short stints at the keyboard.

I Wrote A Book

It is about 350 pages long and I don’t know where I found the energy to type it in and let alone edit the damn thing. It’s a book that takes place about twenty years ago and hints at events happening today. the book is entitled Snow Globe.

Second Drafts

Sometimes I enjoy editing other times it is colossal pain in the patella. I guess there is correlation between how good the story, and how much I enjoy the process. I am in the middle of a story right now about a misplaced work of art. I actually took two minutes and did a quick outline.

With Writing

Comes plenty of reading and it’s all one big joyful hobby. That is all it is. With writing comes observing and listening. I enjoy this the most. This is where the stories unfold.it does not always emerge in a story. It can come out in a sketch or painting or an idea for a later day.

I would love to hear you opinion as well

I’m Mark

His friends observe Mark seems wired a little differently. Perhaps it’s more likely that noticing little things often missed by others is a relic of a quieter, simpler time. He has a way with words, which he refuses to let be hindered by sub-par typing skills. People have great stories to tell if you sit and listen.

A belief dear to Mark is that there is certain beauty in the world. You simply have to look for it.
