Scour the news for an entirely uninteresting story. Consider how it connects to your life. Write about that.

Last night my wife and I were sitting and reading, pretty much winding down for the day.

We mysteriously heard a barking noise coming from down stairs from where Coopers house used to be. He hung out there all the time. It is also where his ashes reside as they are there until we spread them in the yard. When Cooper passed we said we didn’t want the ashes and they were sent to us anyway.

It sounded like he wanted our attention.

He passed away about three months ago and was the sweetest, kindest dog I have shared a life with.

Both my wife and me heard the barking and we were both shaken by what ever happened. We honestly don’t know. I did walk out in the yard and check the garage checking for my sanity. It was a distinct deep bark that certainly sounded like him.

There is an App called NextDoor where people discuss local issues, the stories are odd at best. The most common story is about coyotes in the neighborhood. I rarely open the app and will not do it today.

Very interesting that it was a shared moment.

I would love to hear you opinion as well

His friends observe Mark seems wired a little differently. Perhaps it’s more likely that noticing little things often missed by others is a relic of a quieter, simpler time. He has a way with words, which he refuses to let be hindered by sub-par typing skills. People have great stories to tell if you sit and listen.

A belief dear to Mark is that there is certain beauty in the world. You simply have to look for it.
