Do you remember playing spot the difference as a kid. I believe it was a game featured in Highlights magazine.

We just came home from another day of adventure with the kids. We like to have dinner for them before 5:30 and we were running late.

We went down in the garage and Jenna pulled out an orange box of this toddler delicacy known as Mac and Cheese. Arthur said he wanted Macaroni and Cheese. She picked out another box which looked the same to me and Arthur indicated it was the Macaroni and Cheese.

Jenna cooked tonight and had the meal ready in about ten minutes. she let it cool for a few minutes and put the orange colored pasta in front of him. For a little context, he was rather tired. He rarely cries but he started into one saying he wanted the “Macaroni and Cheese”. His sister sat next to him tearing into the tepid orange plate.

I hope I am not belittling Mac and Cheese. It was my favorite as a child. My Dad one time put kidney beans in my Macaroni and Cheese. I felt Arthur’s pain but I didn’t know what he was looking for.

So I made another box and had little faith this sleight of hand was going to pass the mustard. As I was cooking more he was eating the first dish with not much fanfare.

I cooked the second plate and it took about 15 minutes. It took me awhile to figure it out but the new dish was white instead of orange. I didn’t even know boxed Macaroni and Cheese was sold in white. It took the dish over to Arthur and he said he liked the white ones.

“That’s Macaroni and Cheese”

I didn’t taste it being vegan, Arthur did not.

I had to look up whether powdered cheese was actual cheese!

I would love to hear you opinion as well

His friends observe Mark seems wired a little differently. Perhaps it’s more likely that noticing little things often missed by others is a relic of a quieter, simpler time. He has a way with words, which he refuses to let be hindered by sub-par typing skills. People have great stories to tell if you sit and listen.

A belief dear to Mark is that there is certain beauty in the world. You simply have to look for it.
