We came home from a pleasant day with the kids, and I heard our Jack Russell screaming.
We’re staying at our daughter’s house so we had Luna in her little crate, which is made of metal.. We’ve been using it for years. I walked over to the cage and I saw that she had got her upper and lower jaw stuck between the bars of the cage. It was jammed in there so tightly that she could not even move. There was a good amount of blood in front of the cage as well.
What made it even worse was that we just got home and were getting dinner ready for the kids. So somehow I had to keep the noise to a minimum as not to scare them.
I’m not at my own house so I don’t know where any tools are. If I were at home, I probably would’ve solved it quicker. I went to the garage, looking for either a wire cutter, a pry bar or at least a metal cutting saw.
I could find neither. I was in a bit of a conundrum , as I couldn’t go and search the rest of the house as Luna would scream in agony then traumatizing the kids more than needed.
Eventually I found a small hack saw. I was able to meticulously saw through one of the small support beams and then the blade broke. Against the run of play, I fixed the saw as Luna screamed and snorted. It looked like I had to cut two more metal bars, and I had to cut them dangerously close to her face. Somehow she remained calm.
I was able to do that, but still I wasn’t able to free her. There was one more big metal bar that I had no leverage to cut. I got most of the way through that metal bar and then started bending the bar with pure adrenaline.
I lifted her top jaw slightly and then lowered the left. She was miraculously free, then she backed up and walked across her room.
She walked with a look on her face that said ,
Wow, That was quite an adventure

I would love to hear you opinion as well
