What strategies do you use to increase comfort in your daily life?
To increase the comfort in our own lives we have to get out of our comfort zones and become uncomfortable. As we do things that are challenging and or difficult we are doing what Abraham Maslow refers to as self actualizing. So that when we return to our comfort zone we fell comfortable.
The Obvious
Of course we can get the best mattresses or take aspirins for our aches and pains. Lack of physical pain does have an effect on our comfort level.
The Subtle
Simple little things such as going for a run, or listening to music that we find pleasant add to our comfort levels. these activities, elevate our endorphins or pleasure centers, and have a halo effect on the rest of your day.
Karma
There are many people who are less comfortable than ourselves, so hopefully we can find comfort in helping others.
Namaste
And yoga is not a bad idea.
