What are the most important things needed to live a good life?

When Maslow devised the hierarchy of needs he never addressed on essential need in life.

Abraham Maslow’s hierarchy of needs is a pyramid that depicts the needs that motivate people. The pyramid is structured so that lower-level needs must be met before higher-level needs can be activated. The levels are:

  • Physiological: The most basic survival needs
  • Safety: Includes personal and financial security, health, and safety nets
  • Love and belonging: Involves understanding and accepting love, and having a sense of belonging
  • Esteem: The desire for respect and appreciation from others
  • Self-actualization: Feeling that all needs are met and being the best possible version of oneself
  • Transcendence: The highest level of the hierarch

But one essential element in life is hope. Without hope for any of the levels the rest are moot.

So Van Gogh. Thanks for bringing up hope today. It seems that ever since becoming a slogan, it’s lost some of its punch, but you’re right.

I would love to hear you opinion as well

His friends observe Mark seems wired a little differently. Perhaps it’s more likely that noticing little things often missed by others is a relic of a quieter, simpler time. He has a way with words, which he refuses to let be hindered by sub-par typing skills. People have great stories to tell if you sit and listen.

A belief dear to Mark is that there is certain beauty in the world. You simply have to look for it.
