Describe one simple thing you do that brings joy to your life.

In the Pacific Northwest, where everybody thinks it rains all the time it actually doesn’t. From early June to early October it rarely rains.

I’ve noticed this since I moved here 27 years ago. The summers keep getting warmer, which brings us to wildfire season by the end of August, I’m a grouchy mess. Wildfire season is ugly, and nobody likes it.

My simple pleasure is a little bit of rain.

Much to my surprise, we got rain overnight and into the morning. It was a gentle rain and one the garden and ground seem to savor.

It is a simple pleasure however I enjoy it immensely.

We’re hearing so much about winter ice and getting around during that time, that I hadn’t considered wildfire season much. I’m concerned about my son’s breathing issues during that time.

I would love to hear you opinion as well

His friends observe Mark seems wired a little differently. Perhaps it’s more likely that noticing little things often missed by others is a relic of a quieter, simpler time. He has a way with words, which he refuses to let be hindered by sub-par typing skills. People have great stories to tell if you sit and listen.

A belief dear to Mark is that there is certain beauty in the world. You simply have to look for it.
