Disclosure- i’m not a movie critic and my tastes are different than most. I prefer dialogue and character, driven plot and watch very few blockbuster driven movies.

We got to see this quirky little movie last night at the Kiggins Theatre in Vancouver, Washington. It is a delightful movie, however, my guess is that it’s not for everybody. Certainly a slow dialogue driven, however the nuance between the lines is special.

I suggested this morning that it is a convoluted Indy the version of the parent trap.

There are no car chases or gun fights, which suits me fine. Sometimes the audio is a bit difficult and could use a little volume.

And is one of those films you have no idea who you’re rooting for

is a 2025 British comedy-drama filmdirected by James Griffiths and produced by Rupert Majendie. The film stars Tim KeyTom Basden, and Carey Mulligan. Basden and Key co-wrote the film’s screenplay. It is based on the 2007 short film The One and Only Herb McGwyer Plays Wallis Island, which Griffiths also directed and Basden and Key also co-wrote.

The Ballad of Wallis Island premiered at the Sundance Film Festival on January 25, 2025, followed by a limited theatrical release in the United States on March 28, 2025, by Focus Features, and was released in the United Kingdom on 30 May 2025. It has received acclaim from critics.

I would love to hear you opinion as well

His friends observe Mark seems wired a little differently. Perhaps it’s more likely that noticing little things often missed by others is a relic of a quieter, simpler time. He has a way with words, which he refuses to let be hindered by sub-par typing skills. People have great stories to tell if you sit and listen.

A belief dear to Mark is that there is certain beauty in the world. You simply have to look for it.
