I love it, it stinks therefore Love Stinks

J Geils

I was wishing my little sister, happy Asparagus Days as May comes to an end in Germany. People in Germany, eat asparagus to an extreme. She was telling me how she’s not a big fan because of the effect on the aroma when she goes to the bathroom..

I have always wondered if the water system in Germany smells like asparagus pee.

Your little fact of the day not everybody is predisposed to having smelly asparagus pee.

The distinct odor in urine after eating asparagus is not simply a matter of genetics, but a combination of both metabolic processes and olfactory perception. While some people can smell the characteristic odor due to genetic variations in OR2M7 and other olfactory receptor genes, not everyone produces the compounds responsible for the smell in their urine.

Smell

Studies published in BMJ and other sources https://www.23andme.com/topics/traits/asparagus-odor-detection/, NPR have linked genetic variations, particularly in olfactory receptor genes like OR2M7, with the ability to smell the odor.

I really wish it worked this way for strawberries. The genetic predisposition not only comes from what we pass through our body, but actually what we smell.,

My nose smells.

I would love to hear you opinion as well

A belief dear to Mark is that there is certain beauty in the world. You simply have to look for it.
