Have you ever broken a bone?

Unfortunately I have broken too many to count.

  1. Lesson number one – accidents happen when you are tired. I ended up in the hospital for a few weeks, after getting hit with a pitched baseball.
  2. Playing keeper is more dangerous than it looks – our soccer team would occasionally be without a keeper. I played a few times and ended up breaking both pinkies. Recently, I tried to play guitar and I can’t because my pinkies don’t work.
  3. I broke my ankle more than once. I won’t go into the details because they were not pretty and in some cases smart.
  4. And a rib, where I collided with our goalie. I got through the rest of the match on the endorphins alone. I couldn’t even drive the damn car home.

Wow, in retrospect every single injury was playing sports. Sports I was marginally good at, but had to work harder than most.

Accidents happen.

Do I regret getting these?

The broken fingers, yes, the rest were just bad luck.

I would love to hear you opinion as well

A belief dear to Mark is that there is certain beauty in the world. You simply have to look for it.
