Imagine many of you remember having an answering machine. You get home from work or a night out and you look for that yellow light beeping, that you have a message.

That little light was a beacon of optimism. It may be a new job offer, or somebody who wants to get to know you better.

I don’t know what the equivalent is these days. We have access to pretty much all the information we want.

But we don’t have access to inspiration that we need right now.

Is anybody looking for that news story, that will change the trajectory of where we’re headed?

I am tired of the negativism.

I’m tired of the racism.

I’m tired of those ignoring global warming.

I’m tired of our abuse of animals.

I am tired of capitalism.

I’m tired of this regime.

Then here I sit, waiting for that one piece of good news that will change that trajectory.

Or do we take to the streets?

“ please leave your name and number at the beep.”

I would love to hear you opinion as well

His friends observe Mark seems wired a little differently. Perhaps it’s more likely that noticing little things often missed by others is a relic of a quieter, simpler time. He has a way with words, which he refuses to let be hindered by sub-par typing skills. People have great stories to tell if you sit and listen.

A belief dear to Mark is that there is certain beauty in the world. You simply have to look for it.
