We Are One

Describe one positive change you have made in your life.

I have been vegetarian for most of my adult life. About 15 years back I decided to go vegan. I did it because of concerns about global warming.

Now my primary reason is because I don’t wanna ever kill anything once again. Every life is precious and it’s the only one we got.

It is a conscious change I simply had to make.

I started eating vegetarianly in my 20s to appeal more strongly to the good-looking veggie women. I didn’t notice that the vegan women were any more attractive than vegetarian women, so I stopped there. Today I’m happily and lawfully bound to a very lovely woman who isn’t even a vegetarian, but I still am, because I’m apparently too lazy to change my ways.

I was strictly vegetarian for about 2 years(health experiment basically) but ended up sliding back into eating chicken and some meat here and there. So many variables, but I think I was B-12 deficient and maybe a few other vitamins. Do you take supplements? The idea of “not killing animals” is something I have thought about, but at the end of the day it’s the large corporations that are making those decisions for profit and there is nothing I alone can do. It would have to be a global decision to stop eating meat, which also won’t happen.

Yeah one life at a time. It matters to me. As for supplements no, as there are easy sources of B12. Being Vegan is old hat to the point of being boring. I prefer it that way.

Thank you for your thoughtful comments.

I had to go full vegan when I studied the dairy industry. Good for you ,you should be proud.

I would love to hear you opinion as well

His friends observe Mark seems wired a little differently. Perhaps it’s more likely that noticing little things often missed by others is a relic of a quieter, simpler time. He has a way with words, which he refuses to let be hindered by sub-par typing skills. People have great stories to tell if you sit and listen.

A belief dear to Mark is that there is certain beauty in the world. You simply have to look for it.
