Daily writing prompt
Do you need a break? From what?

Besides the glaringly obvious, which is the State of the States I am perfectly fine. I honestly don’t care what happens to The Divided States of America. Blind patriotism is counterproductive. But I must remain diligent, so those less fortunate than myself live a fair and equitable life. My senators and representative got an earful yesterday

I realize others need a break. We take the kids out on adventures so that their parents can take a breather. I am watching my friends’ cats so they may go on their honeymoon. I do most of the cooking as my wife’s workday is more stressful than mine.

I am looking for a weekend day filled with nothing. Where I can sit and write or paint. And right now, I am taking a break from my work. We get two fifteen-minute breaks, and this is where I sit and write these little slices of life.

I’m Mark

His friends observe Mark seems wired a little differently. Perhaps it’s more likely that noticing little things often missed by others is a relic of a quieter, simpler time. He has a way with words, which he refuses to let be hindered by sub-par typing skills. People have great stories to tell if you sit and listen.

A belief dear to Mark is that there is certain beauty in the world. You simply have to look for it.
