Describe an item you were incredibly attached to as a youth. What became of it?

I sucked my thumb as a child. I didn’t want anybody to know. I held on to that until I was four, possibly five. I still have that thumb. It is opposable and differentiates me from other species.

I also hoarded paper. If there was a blank tablet in the house I wanted it. Most reading books had a page or two of blank paper. I tore them out of the books so I had something to write on.

I also had a Duck named George. He was awesome.

A therapist would have a field day.

His friends observe Mark seems wired a little differently. Perhaps it’s more likely that noticing little things often missed by others is a relic of a quieter, simpler time. He has a way with words, which he refuses to let be hindered by sub-par typing skills. People have great stories to tell if you sit and listen.

A belief dear to Mark is that there is certain beauty in the world. You simply have to look for it.
