The Side Effects of Endorphins

Besides predetermined genetics and the influence of our upbringing, my wife has the biggest influence on my life. It sounds kind of cliche but it is starkly true. I know I am randomly creative and all over the map. She reigns that in to distant manageable roar.

She is a rule follower and I am not. It’s not like I am going to rob a convenience store, but she has me coloring somewhat between the lines. she likes to have a set schedule I and wing most everything by the seat of my pants. I can’t say I always want it, but that structure is good for me.

Here is a small example. She asked a few months back if I would like to join a gym. my immediate response was no. Of course, marriage being the Democracy that it can be, I said why not look at the place. It ended up being a great decision. We use the gym frequently and I rather enjoy it.

We are driving to Seattle today. I rarely drive with her in the car as she is a back seat driver. So I get to sit there and watch the landscape roll by..
