Is It Ok To Be Not Good At Something?

Some of my most joyous endeavors are things I am not all that good at.

  • Foreign Languages – I am not very good at learning languages. Computer languages are easy for me. Learning German has been a struggle yet one I am proud to do. I am improving.
  • Sports after Sixty – I am three wins and nine loses in my league. I am improving but not getting any younger.
  • Writing – I am a computer programmer. However I like to tell stories and it is nice to get published once in a while along side people with initials such as MFA.
  • Parenting – kids don’t come with instructions and we do the best we can. We second guess our selves all the time. That’s the beauty of it.,
  • Art – I simply enjoy it and gravitate to it often.

His friends observe Mark seems wired a little differently. Perhaps it’s more likely that noticing little things often missed by others is a relic of a quieter, simpler time. He has a way with words, which he refuses to let be hindered by sub-par typing skills. People have great stories to tell if you sit and listen.

A belief dear to Mark is that there is certain beauty in the world. You simply have to look for it.
