Overrated First Impressions

What’s the first impression you want to give people?

I honestly think first impressions are over rated. I want people to know that I am interested in what they have to say and I am willing to listen to them.

First impressions take many forms. Impressions happen at the grocery store, running in the park, interacting online or in business situations. So the interactions vary widely. I am speaking about face to face intercourse. Yes intercourse also means to talk.

That does not always work out so well. I remember having a woman talk to me for thirty minutes straight about the drainage systems in a local park.

I want people to know I am not going through the motions and I can be creative and random at times. That is who I am and I want to establish that up front.

His friends observe Mark seems wired a little differently. Perhaps it’s more likely that noticing little things often missed by others is a relic of a quieter, simpler time.
