Who are your favorite artists?

True poets of Canadian Lore. The Tragically Hip, often referred to simply as the Hip, was a Canadian rock band formed in Kingston, Ontario in 1984.

The Tragically Hip’s music is extremely popular in their native Canada, and Downie’s songwriting has been praised for frequently touching upon uniquely Canadian subjects not otherwise covered by mainstream rock groups.

This music means a lot to me. However I love those who choose to be artists. There are too many of my favorites to not miss a few. I have been an REM fan all of my life.

I can still remember the first time I listened to Miles Davis. I remain mesmerized to this day. It is the music I play most often.

And then there are the kids making refrigerator art. How can’t you not love that. here is a scribble from my son in Berlin. We are all artists.

His friends observe Mark seems wired a little differently. Perhaps it’s more likely that noticing little things often missed by others is a relic of a quieter, simpler time. He has a way with words, which he refuses to let be hindered by sub-par typing skills. People have great stories to tell if you sit and listen.

A belief dear to Mark is that there is certain beauty in the world. You simply have to look for it.
