Dying is an excuse for everything.”
― Annie Hartnett, Unlikely Animals
Unlikely Animals is one of the more entertaining books I shall read this year.

- ONE OF THE BEST BOOKS OF THE YEAR: The Washington Post, Book Riot • Longlisted for the Joyce Carol Oates Prize
Unlikely Animals is a unique, heartwarming story about a girl named Emma who returns to her small-town home in New Hampshire after dropping out of medical school.
I decided to seek out another book of. hers and ran into Rabbit Cake. Talk about finding ones voice this book takes a while to warm up but once you do, it is an amazing book. It was a precursor to Unlikely Animals, and once the author found her voice, she excels at it.
