A member of our book club pointed us to the New York Times top hundred books of all time. Here is a link to the article. https://www.nytimes.com/interactive/2024/books/best-books-21st-century.html

Our book club reads everything and we’ve only read eight or nine books on this list. We do have an official bookkeeper, it’s not scripture, a little more accurate than that, but it’s not perfect. At one point, she baked cookies with all the titles of the books on them.

Which led us to a discussion, what was a Book Club book and what was an unofficial Book Club book. Unofficial book club books (UBCB) we talked about, but never assigned. And somehow they end up being one of our favorites.

Here are a few of my favorite UBCBs

Saw her speak as well.

One of my favorite books of all time.

I would love to hear you opinion as well

I’m Mark

His friends observe Mark seems wired a little differently. Perhaps it’s more likely that noticing little things often missed by others is a relic of a quieter, simpler time. He has a way with words, which he refuses to let be hindered by sub-par typing skills. People have great stories to tell if you sit and listen.

A belief dear to Mark is that there is certain beauty in the world. You simply have to look for it.
