A Hero of Mine

Patricia Lee Smith (born December 30, 1946) is an American singer, songwriter, poet, painter, author and photographer whose 1975 debut album Horsesmade her an influential member of the New York City-based punk rock movement.

Her music never hit my ear quite right yet I love the sprit that is her. She has written many books including Just Kids. Her books are tremendous, her poems even better

She even wrote “Because The Night” along with that obscure artist, Bruce Springsteen.

“Please, no matter how we advance technologically, please don’t abandon the book. There is nothing in our material world more beautiful than the book.”

Patti

I spent forty five minutes in my own mind with her tonight. I enjoyed it.

I’m Mark

His friends observe Mark seems wired a little differently. Perhaps it’s more likely that noticing little things often missed by others is a relic of a quieter, simpler time. He has a way with words, which he refuses to let be hindered by sub-par typing skills. People have great stories to tell if you sit and listen.

A belief dear to Mark is that there is certain beauty in the world. You simply have to look for it.
