What traditions have you not kept that your parents had?

I can’t say my parents had many traditions, and divorce certainly topples that equation. One thing my parents did with steadfast consistency was watch the television. It was on at all times and often at a disturbing volumes.

I am not much for television as I find it scrambles my thought process. Quizzically, our daughter, and family, are visiting from Germany and we did watch some television. They wanted to watch the Olympics. It felt a little off kilter to me.

I almost bought the traditional bag of chips, but did not. Nobody seemed to notice.

I’m Mark

His friends observe Mark seems wired a little differently. Perhaps it’s more likely that noticing little things often missed by others is a relic of a quieter, simpler time. He has a way with words, which he refuses to let be hindered by sub-par typing skills. People have great stories to tell if you sit and listen.

A belief dear to Mark is that there is certain beauty in the world. You simply have to look for it.
