Anticipating a Hopeful Future: Embracing Change and Unity

I wish I could just flip a switch and be excited about the future. I have many things in my personal life that I am excited about. I look forward to not working and spending more time with my family in Seattle and Germany.

I am probably missing the core of the question with that response. Looking at a micro view of the world I have very little cause for optimism. I sit here and type this on a day where we will hit triple digits outside. That is not normal. I look forward to the day we as a specie treat this planet with loving care. I also look forward to the day we as humans treat animals with the dignity they deserve.

I look forward to this much in the same ways those who have strong spiritual beliefs. I have cynical faith in my mind that somewhere along the line we will figure it out and work toward a unitary solution.

I’m Mark

His friends observe Mark seems wired a little differently. Perhaps it’s more likely that noticing little things often missed by others is a relic of a quieter, simpler time. He has a way with words, which he refuses to let be hindered by sub-par typing skills. People have great stories to tell if you sit and listen.

A belief dear to Mark is that there is certain beauty in the world. You simply have to look for it.
