Do you remember life before the internet?

Of course, I remember life before the internet. The title here is from the opening line of REM’s classic “It is The End of the World As We Know It (And I feel Fine)”. Quizzically this song came out just as the Internet was starting to explode.

Lenny Bruce is not afraid, as all the memories are just that. I spend a lot of my creative energy recalling little snippets from before the internet. Which brings me back to one of the most over used expressions of the day.

We have always been younger. I am as young as I ever am going to be right now. I cherish these old memories yet live for today. Because it is kind of nice not having to find a new ribbon for the typewriter.

I remember watching horrific clips of The War in Vietnam on television and knew enough to know I will never shoot a gun in my lifetime. For those who served, I am in awe.

“Happy Memorial Day To You.”

His friends observe Mark seems wired a little differently. Perhaps it’s more likely that noticing little things often missed by others is a relic of a quieter, simpler time. He has a way with words, which he refuses to let be hindered by sub-par typing skills. People have great stories to tell if you sit and listen.

A belief dear to Mark is that there is certain beauty in the world. You simply have to look for it.
