Collect Call

Do you have any collections?

Do you remember making a collect call or even receiving one. I think we all collect memories and we save them in scattered places. We find them at random times and lose them for years.

Which leads us to collections derived from collections in our memories. I now collect vinyl records. I used to have a large collection and it was stolen during grad school. My wife bought me a turntable recently and here we go again.

Each new record I play is a memory of how inconvenient and expensive vinyl is.

The reason I write this blog is to collect many of these memories in the most random and disorganized way as possible. That’s how my mind works.

I’m Mark

His friends observe Mark seems wired a little differently. Perhaps it’s more likely that noticing little things often missed by others is a relic of a quieter, simpler time. He has a way with words, which he refuses to let be hindered by sub-par typing skills. People have great stories to tell if you sit and listen.

A belief dear to Mark is that there is certain beauty in the world. You simply have to look for it.
