Daily writing prompt
Are you a leader or a follower?

I am going to answer this question by not following the directions. I am not a follower I can say with almost absolute certainty. And I probably am not correct either. Today I was getting breakfast together. I made some hash browns and a vegan sausage, and a nice gentle breeze wafted through the kitchen. I followed the smell back to our parents’ little cottage in Fenwick Island Delaware. So, in many a sense I am a follower.

I follow my instinct about what is right and just in the world. I follow my heart to where it leads hopefully with as little bias as possible.

As for a leader, I would rather be inspirational and respected.

I remember running a relay race in Williamsburg Va. Our team was in first place when I started my 3.1-mile leg. Leading that race for 19 minutes was rather uncomfortable. I never ran so above my ability in my life.

And a shameless plug. It would be nice to have more followers in this forum. Don’t worry, Ill follow you right back.

I’m Mark

His friends observe Mark seems wired a little differently. Perhaps it’s more likely that noticing little things often missed by others is a relic of a quieter, simpler time. He has a way with words, which he refuses to let be hindered by sub-par typing skills. People have great stories to tell if you sit and listen.

A belief dear to Mark is that there is certain beauty in the world. You simply have to look for it.
