Last night we were in the car, and I had Poe’s Tell Tale Heart playing on Audible. That is surreal enough.

“I knew that sound
well too. It was the beating of the old man’s heart. It
increased my fury, as the beating of a drum stimulates the
soldier into courage.”
― Edgar Allan Poe, The Tell-Tale Heart

My reflection was about the first time I read this book. I read a lot of great books in High School and Ill mention a few.

“Tale Of Two Cities”, “Animal Farm”, “Watership Down”, “This is Andersonville”, “The Illustrated Man”, “Old Man and The Sea” are a few.

My grandmother, who was a Librarian, was a great influence on my reading. She took home many books for me. However, it was the high school teachers who laid that foundation.

Thank You

His friends observe Mark seems wired a little differently. Perhaps it’s more likely that noticing little things often missed by others is a relic of a quieter, simpler time. He has a way with words, which he refuses to let be hindered by sub-par typing skills. People have great stories to tell if you sit and listen.

A belief dear to Mark is that there is certain beauty in the world. You simply have to look for it.
