The non·cha·lance of a Cat

I brought the cat box out of garage.
She treated it like any other box.
She hopped in and hoped to take off to the moon.
Her Vet appointment was at noon.
Thirty minutes before noon I gathered her,
Rather I attempted to gather her.
She was nowhere to be found.
I searched for thirty minutes
and no sign of Loco.
At quarter past noon she casually walks across
the living room floor.
Mon-plussed with no sense of urgency.

And I was outwitted by a cat.
